Celebrate Trails Day – Bay to Baker Trail

Celebrate Trails Day is Saturday, April 25th with several events along the Bay to Baker Trail!  Check out these events that you can be a part of from the Recreation Northwest website:

Bellingham 

Walk & Roll Bellingham
10:00 am 
April Slow Stroll will take the Bay to Baker Trail from Cornwall Memorial Park to Sunset Pond, and then explore the newly opened loop around Sunset Pond before returning to Cornwall Park. We will meet at the parking lot at the NW corner of Cornwall Memorial Park.
The total distance is 3.6 miles, and the trail is flat and well maintained, and we will travel at whatever pace is comfortable for our attendees.

10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Meet with the Recreation Northwest Trails Coalition staff to hear about what’s ahead for our organization.

Walk with the Mount Baker Club
10:30 am
 Meet up in Mt. Baker Visitor Center parking lot
11:00 am Take a walk on the Harvey Haggard section of the Bay to Baker Trail with Bud Hardwick, Mount Baker Club Bud will lead the walk heading east out the trail towards the historical location- where the train that Harvey Haggard was on during the first Mount Baker Marathon, derailed.
