The Birchwood Garden Club hosts their monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00pm at the Whatcom Museum Rotunda Room in Bellingham.

From the Birchwood Garden Club:
We have a special speaker for May! Nita-Jo Rountree has many accolades: Past president of the NW Horticultural Society, frequent speaker at NW Flower and Garden Show & Portland Garden show, board member of numerous Garden Societies, plus… she ran a landscape design/installation company for many years.

The presentation is on one of her favorite topics—Hydrangeas.
Her synopsis should be an indication of the evening’s entertainment… Hydrangeas: What? How? Wow! The program will include illustrations of the latest and greatest, tried and true, and rare and unusual cultivars; how to care for them including pruning techniques, how to dry flowers, and how to use them in the garden.

Birchwood Garden Club is open to anyone in Whatcom or Skagit Counties.  You’re invited to their monthly meetings where membership brochures will be available.
