The Bellingham Theatre Guild presents “Pride & Prejudice” select dates from November 25th-December 10th at the Bellingham Theatre Guild Playhouse.
Based on the novel by Jane Austen, this adaptation was written by Kate Hamill. It’s not “your grandmother’s Austen!” It’s bold. It’s surprising. It’s boisterous. And, it’s timely. This “Pride & Prejudice” is for a new era and explores the abusrdities and thrills of finding your perfect (or imperfect) match in life.
“The outspoken Lizzy Bennet is determined to never marry, despite mounting pressure from society. But can she resist love, especially when that vaguely handsome, mildly amusing, and impossibly aggravating Mr. Darcy keeps popping up at every turn?! Literature’s greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical, or so full of life than it does in this effervescent adaptation. Because what turns us into greater fools…than the high-stakes game of love?”
Curtain is 7:30pm on November 25, 26, December 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10.
Matinees are 2:00pm on November 27 and December 4.
