Dave’s Favorites:

Actors: Tom Hanks, Morgan Freeman, Paul Giamatti, Jeff Bridges, Russell Crowe, Robert Downey Jr. And I will always love Bill Murray. He counts, right?

Actresses: Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Lawrence, Julianne Moore, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jennifer Lawrence. And I think Lady Gaga deserves a nod for A Star is Born. She counts, right?

Animals: Mine, of course: Dexter (the dog), and Nacho & Mango (the cats).

Books: The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein, Illusions by Richard Bach, anything by John Grisham (most recently, Playing for Pizza), anything by Douglas Adams (with a shout out to Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency), the Harry Potter series.

Foods: Seefood. (That’s not a typo. My favorite food is the food I see!)

Hobbies: Hiking with my dog. I also like taking photos and riding my bike. And how about playing a little Madden on the XBox? That counts, right?

Movies: Some you’ve heard of: Princess Bride, Raising Arizona, Stripes, Shawshank Redemption, the Harry Potter series, Batman: The Dark Knight, Big, The latest Star Treks…

Some you may not have heard of: Departures, King of Masks, Secondhand Lions, The Wrecking Crew, Hands on a Hardbody….

People I’d Like to Meet: The person reading this. Who are you, and why on Earth are you reading this?

Places: We’ve been lucky enough to travel a little. It’s my very favorite thing. I love Amsterdam and its outskirts. Florence, Italy is somewhere I’d like to hang out some more. Iguazu Falls, Argentina is breathtaking. Oleg’s house in Penza, Russia (with Alexander on guitar, of course) is a place I’ll always remember very fondly. Greece was amazing. My favorite place of all is Bellingham. That’s why I live here.

TV shows: Breaking Bad is my all-time favorite show. I also watch… Stranger Things, The Voice, America’s Got Talent, Dr. Phil, and Barry. Mostly I watch a little news and a lot of football.

Quotes: “That which is around me does not affect my mood; my mood affects that which is around me.”  ― Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain

Factoid: I was just kidding when I said I watched Dr. Phil.
