On September 14, 2024, listeners may enter to be a Last Chance Finalist between 1:00pm-2:30pm.  At 2:30pm, we will draw 5 finalists to take part in the contest.  Finalists must be present to participate in the contest.

The Grand prize event will take place at Heritage Portable Buildings, 110 W. Axton Rd. in Bellingham, WA, on September 14, 2024, from 1pm-3pm. Finalists must check-in and register with KAFE anytime from 1pm-2:30pm to be entered to win the grand prize. Any finalist not in the registration line by 2:30pm will be disqualified. From 1:00pm-2:30pm, listeners can register to be a “Last Chance Finalist”. Any openings created by previously qualified finalists not in attendance by 2:30pm will be drawn from these “last chance” entries, as needed, until we reach the 25 finalists for the grand prize giveaway.  The exact number of entries above the 5 designated “last chance finalists” drawn in this manner will be determined by how many previously qualified finalists do not attend the finals. The grand prize drawing will begin at approximately 2:45pm.

Each of the 25 finalists will select an envelope when they arrive and check in. There will be 25 envelopes, each with a number (1-25) inside. KAFE will randomly draw numbers, eliminating finalists one by one, until just one number remains. Whomever holds the last remaining number will be the grand prize winner.

Only one person per household will be permitted to take part in the grand prize event as a finalist. If two or more people from the same household are selected as finalists, then the finalists must decide which one person will take part in the grand prize event.  The remaining finalist spot will be released for a new finalist to be drawn from remaining entries.

KAFE will not be responsible for any rescheduling or cancellation of the event.

The shed has an approximate retail value at $9,000.89.  Grand prize includes free delivery of the shed within at 10-mile radius of Heritage Portable Buildings, 110 W. Axton Rd. in Bellingham, WA.  Any delivery charges outside of this 10-mile radius will be charged at Heritage Portable Building’s discretion.  Winner is also responsible for any set-up charges needed/associated with placement of the grand prize.

For any contest involving on-line voting: If an entrant receives irregular votes, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated means, KAFE 104.1 reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine the winner(s), ex. – random selection or appointing a panel of judges.
  18. For any contests involving tickets to live performances or events, winners will need to follow all health and public safety guidelines and protocols put in place by the concert organizer.

    • other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or network

Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this contest or website, or act in violation of the official service, as solely determined by the station, will be disqualified. Neither sponsor nor promotion parties are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this contest, and assume no responsibility for any errors, omissions, deletions, interruptions or delays in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized website access.

KAFE 104.1 is not responsible for injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from participating in this contest. Should any portion of contest be, in KAFE 104.1’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention (i.e., hackers) or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the station, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest, or contest plays, KAFE 104.1 reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest.

  21. KAFE 104.1 has not made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on prize (if any) are provided only by the manufacturer, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
  22. The following are specifically related to E-contests and E-Mail Club promotions on kafe.com:
    1. All appropriate information in required fields must be entered correctly and completely or you will be disqualified.
    2. To win a prize you must reside within the listening area of KAFE 104.1 as defined at the exclusive discretion of KAFE 104.1 management.
    3. Any problems with the internet or email are not KAFE 104.1’s responsibility.
    4. Contestants who register to participate on our website may be required to produce a printed copy of proof of registration before being allowed to participate in the contest.
    5. Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on KAFE 104.1. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when KAFE 104.1 contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.
  23. A copy of these rules is available during business hours at the KAFE 104.1 studios 2219 Yew Street Road, Bellingham, Washington 98226
