Where’s Bill???

Where’s Bill???

Over the past few months, there have been plenty of calls and emails asking, “Where’s Bill?”  Here’s an update on what he’s been up to since February:

Hello there!! Yeah, I’ve been away from KAFE for a while, huh? I guess it’s time for an explanation.

At the end of February, I suffered what the doctors call an aortic aneurism requiring emergency surgery. It knocked me down for a few weeks but was a blessing in disguise as the specialists found out most of my arteries were almost completely blocked (I had NO idea!).

So, fast forward to the end of March. Triple bypass surgery! Good news is I’m on the mend at home and am hoping to be back on KAFE within a few weeks. Doctors expect a 100% recovery. And as you might know, I’m a vegetarian, eat right, exercise, in shape, don’t smoke, etc. But I come to find out you can’t outrun your genetics! Both my mom and uncle had bypass surgery, so I guess I had a couple of strikes against me to begin with.

My wonderful caring angel at home (that would be my lovely wife, Lisa!!) is making sure I follow the doctor’s instructions to the letter! And as I said, I should be making a return to the airwaves, hopefully sooner than later.

Thanks to Scotty, Ezra, Allan and everyone who’s been filling in for me. We’ve got a great bunch here at KAFE, always willing to pitch in and help.

Hope to see you soon…..I’ve missed you folks a bunch!!
