To enter, listeners can take an “Elfie Selfie” with Ernie the KAFE Elf at any participating sponsor location during their regular business hours. They then upload that picture to www.KAFE.com between 12:00am November 26, 2021 through 11:59pm on December 19, 2021. Entrants must include all required registration information to qualify. All photos must include at least one person and at least a portion of the Ernie the Elf cutout at a sponsor location. All photos must be taken during sponsor business hours between November 26, 2021 through December 19, 2021.

All entries must be submitted between 12:00am November 26, 2021 through 11:59pm December 19, 2021.
At approximately 8:00am December 20, 2021, KAFE staff will randomly draw one entry to be the grand prize winner. At approximately 8:30am, the winner will be announced on KAFE 104.1. Winner will be notified by telephone on December 20, 2021.
If, for any reason, the entry drawn is deemed to be ineligible, it will be disqualified and a new, alternate winner will be randomly drawn.

This KAFE contest is open to all eligible Washington state residents, age 18 and older that have not won anything on KAFE in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of KAFE, Saga Broadcasting, LLC dba Cascade Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the KAFE main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
Images submitted must be owned by the person submitting the entry. No one else may have, or can claim, legal rights to the image. If there is a “minor” (a child or person under the age of 18) in this image, the entrant must certify that he or she is the parent or legal guardian of the minor (child or children) in the image. Any misrepresentation of ownership of the submitted image, or legal guardianship of the minor in the submitted image (if any), will be grounds for disqualification of the contest and potentially all future contests or promotions with KAFE 104.1. Entries containing inappropriate images will be disqualified. KAFE 104.1 has final say of what content is appropriate for the website and has absolute discretion over the eligibility of an image entry. No indecent or obscene material, no content or material that is illegal, no material containing nudity or is sexually explicit, or by law, obscene profane or pornographic is permitted. By entering this contest, you are verifying that you are the owner and producer of the submitted material and that no third-party ownership rights exist to the image. If the image contains people, by submitting such image you agree to have the rights necessary to consent or submit on behalf of those in the image. Entries containing inappropriate photos or music will be disqualified. Any photograph submitted to any of the cluster stations will become property of the stations. The stations will have final say of what content is appropriate for the website. By entering this contest, you are verifying that you are the owner and producer of the submitted material and that no third-party ownership rights exist to the photo submitted. By entering you verify that whomever is seen in the photo are either pictures of the entrant or the entrant’s minors. If the entrant is unable to waive its rights to publication or waive its minors rights to publication, the entrant will be ask to submit a new photo.

These are the rules governing all contests aired on KAFE 104.1 radio and on the kafe.com website or KAFE 104.1 mobile app, unless otherwise specified. In the following rules, “KAFE 104.1” means Pacific Northwest Media Group, which owns KAFE 104.1 radio:
- No purchase is necessary to enter any KAFE 104.1 contest.
- To be eligible to win any prize on KAFE 104.1 you must not have won anything on KAFE 104.1 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
- Anytime you call the KAFE 104.1 studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast.
- As a winner of a KAFE 104.1 contest your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes without any compensation to you.
- Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. KAFE 104.1 reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.
- All winners of all contests are responsible for all taxes on prize awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the KAFE 104.1 studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600.
- In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), KAFE 104.1’s delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as (KAFE 104.1) awarding the prize to the winner. KAFE 104.1 shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. KAFE 104.1 shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
- All KAFE 104.1 contests are open to all eligible residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified) living within 75 miles of station transmitter(s). Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to KAFE 104.1 that will be presented to KAFE 104.1 and accepted before the prize is awarded. Employees of KAFE 104.1, it's advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the KAFE 104.1 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. - Winners will be expected to claim prize at the KAFE 104.1 studios, 2219 Yew Street Road, Bellingham, Washington 98226, between 12:00pm – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) within 30 days of being notified that they are winners, unless there is an expiration date on prize, which will be specifically stated.
- Where the prize(s) consists of paper tickets (“will-call tickets”) the winner will be directed to go to a specified address and retrieve the will-call tickets, and, by entering the contest, the contestant agrees to pick up will-call tickets and sign and deliver to KAFE 104.1 a waiver form as directed. Where the prize(s) consists of electronic (digital) concert or event tickets (“e-tickets”), the winner will receive an email from KAFE 104.1 with a hyperlink to an electronic waiver form that the winner must sign and return to the KAFE 104.1 before the prize will be transferred to the winner. The e-tickets will be transferred to the winner by KAFE 104.1 or, in some cases, by a third party (for example, Ticketmaster, Live Nation, etc.) and the winner must check his or her email account for an email or cellular mobile number for a text message from the ticket provider in order to download the e-tickets. Where e-tickets are a prize, as a condition of entering the contest, redeeming and using e-tickets requires the winner (i) to have a valid email address and an app-enabled mobile device capable of downloading and running a third-party mobile ticketing app (e.g., Ticketmaster, Live Nation, etc.); (ii) to install, or have already installed, such mobile ticketing app on their app-enabled mobile device; and (iii) to log into an existing user account or sign up for a free user account with the third-party operating such mobile ticketing app by completing a form with all required information, including, at a minimum, the winner's first name, last name, valid email address and telephone number. E-tickets awarded as a prize in such contests cannot be redeemed or used by any means other than the designated third-party mobile ticketing app for the e-tickets. KAFE 104.1, its advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each are absolved and shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest.
- As a licensee of the FCC and a trustee of the public airwaves, KAFE 104.1 reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize) at the discretion of KAFE 104.1 management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant.
- KAFE 104.1 reserves the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. KAFE 104.1's decision is always final. In the event any one of the general contest rules which govern all KAFE 104.1 contests contradict with any specific contest term, the specific contest term will control.
- For any contest requiring phone entry you must use only the following number unless otherwise specified: 360-676-5233. For texting it is 360-676-5233. The person processing inbound calls and/or texts at KAFE 104.1 has the final decision as to who is the winning entrant.
- KAFE 104.1 shall have no responsibility for contestant’s inability or failure to participate, failure to win or claim any prize based on malfunction or difficulties with telephone, cell phone, texting, email, mobile applications, internet access, or any other circumstances in any contest beyond KAFE 104.1’s control.
- For any contest involving on-line voting: If an entrant receives irregular votes, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated means, KAFE 104.1 reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine the winner(s), ex. – random selection or appointing a panel of judges.
- For any contests involving tickets to live performances or events, winners will need to follow all health and public safety guidelines and protocols put in place by the concert organizer.
- KAFE 104.1 is not responsible for any event cancellations or reschedules.
- KAFE 104.1 is not responsible for:
- internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion
- viruses
- sabotage
- satellite failures
- phone line failures
- electrical outages
- natural or man-made disasters
- lost, late, misdirected, postage-due, unintelligible, returned, or undelivered entries or email
- lost, interrupted, or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other internet connections, providers, or platforms
- failed telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions
- computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, or difficulties
- other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or network
Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this contest or website, or act in violation of the official service, as solely determined by the station, will be disqualified. Neither sponsor nor promotion parties are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this contest, and assume no responsibility for any errors, omissions, deletions, interruptions or delays in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized website access.
KAFE 104.1 is not responsible for injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from participating in this contest. Should any portion of contest be, in KAFE 104.1’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention (i.e., hackers) or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the station, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest, or contest plays, KAFE 104.1 reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest.
- KAFE 104.1 has not made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on prize (if any) are provided only by the manufacturer, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
- The following are specifically related to E-contests and E-Mail Club promotions on kafe.com:
