“Mr. Burns – a post electric play” by Anne Washburn
After civilation collapes, a small group of survivors sit around a campfire and use their memories to piece together the plot of an episode of “The Simpsons” called “Cape Feare.”  Seven years later, this, and other bits of pop culture, have come the live entertainment of a post-apocalyptic society that is trying to hang onto its past.  75 years later, they are the myths and legends from which new forms of performance are created.
