KAFE 104.1 is spreading some magic this holiday season by granting Christmas Wishes!

Local businesses, especially Hempler’s Foods Group, have been stepping up to help make these wishes come true!  Check out the wishes we’ve granted so far.


Wish #1 – Shoshanna wishes for some noise-cancelling headphones for her son.
Shoshana’s son has sensory issues. She asked us for special Spiderman noise-cancelling headphones so he can participate in activities even when there are lots of sounds. Thanks to Hemplers for picking up the tab!


Wish #2 – Suzanne wants to make Christmas merry and bright.
Suzanne works at a senior center, and their Christmas decorations aren’t usable anymore. She’s asking for some decorations, and we’re asking YOU to help!


Wish #4 – Nick wants to make his partner’s Christmas special
Nick asked to help make his partner’s Christmas special after having a rough year. He asked for a nice dinner and some yarn supplies. Thanks to Slice of Heaven and Northwest Yarns and Mercantile for making it happen!


Wish #4 – Bonita wants to help her son get on his career path.
Bonita’s son Josh wants to be a welder. But in order to start the program at Bellingham Technical College, he has to buy a whole lot of special equipment, which is expensive. Thanks to Central Welding Supply, Josh is now very well supplied!


Wish #5 – Griffith Furniture donates to flood victims

John Griffith from Griffith Furniture is granting a huge wish for flooding victims in Everson on Saturday, December 20th by offering furniture and mattresses at no cost to those who lost their belongings in the floods.


Wish #6 – Podcast equipment for Nooksack Valley Schools

Nooksack Valley School District is creating a podcast, but they don’t have the equipment they need to put it together. They wished for microphones, headphones, and a mixing board to get things going. Thanks to Hempler’s Foods Group for the funds to make this happen!


Wish #7 – Local real estate agent donates three dinners

Sometimes Christmas Wishes come to us. Amrita Nijar, a real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty, approached us about donating three Christmas dinners to anyone in need.


Wish #8 – Single dad could use a little support

Kelda’s friend is a single dad who could use a little help. Thanks to Hemplers and Marathon Cleaning for stepping up!


Wish #9 – Gutter cleaning for 67 year old lady

Debbie lost her husband earlier this year and he used to do all the things around the house. She asked for help cleaning her gutters out. Thanks to Joosten’s Roofing for making it come true!

Wish #11 – 911 Driving School

Amy’s son wants to learn to drive. And she wants him to have the best preparation. Thanks to 911 Driving School for making it happen.


Wish #12 – Firefighter Celebration

Jami’s brother Matt is a firefighter/EMT who had a medical emergency of his own. Jamie asked us to help him and his firefighter brothers and sisters celebrate his recovery. Thanks to Hempler’s and Chihuahua Restaurant for create that celebration.


Wish #13 – Destinee’s wish comes back to her

Destinee made it wish for her kids. We got her kids to help turn the wish around.
