Hear This Year’s Christmas Wishes

Hear This Year’s Christmas Wishes

Here are the Christmas Wishes we’ve granted so far! We’ll add new wishes to this page, as they are granted!

We couldn’t do this without the generous support of BECU…as well as Axton Automotive and Joostens Roofing!  Plus, BrightStar Care and Builder’s Alliance!

Christmas Wish #1
Seldom writes to us with a Christmas Wish for their 14-year-old ward, Ethyn. He’s been dealing with a lot of stress and has found an outlet for his creativity in digital art.

Christmas Wish #2
Kimberly is a 47-year-old grandmother that wants to give her 4 young grandkids those core memories of Christmas at grandma’s that they can take with them for the rest of their lives.

Christmas Wish #3
Lynne has had FIVE surgeries over the past year and a half…and has had a hard time being able to get the exercise she’s used to. She’d like to be able to work out in the pool at The Rec in Friday Harbor to be able to get the exercise she needs so much, but is having a hard time with bills.

Christmas Wish #4
Hannah’s 13-year-old daughter, Ella, has had a rough year. Her big sister recently moved away and she’s been dealing with bullying and depression. Music is a huge part of their family and would be a healthy outlet for her to express herself.

Christmas Wish #5
Ashley’s family is in the midst of a family emergency (and has been for the last couple of years). They’ve had to move across the country three times from these emergencies, so they’ve been financially strapped this Christmas. She’s wishing for her 7-year-old son (but our generous donors want to help her, too).

Christmas Wish #6
CarolLynn wrote in her Christmas Wish for her granddaughter, JaCee. When she first sent in this wish, JaCee, was expecting her first babies – TWINS! Originally due in January, they knew they were going to be born prematurely. BUT…they came even earlier than that. With a tough pregnancy and some health issues, CarolLynn wants to be sure the babies have everything they need for a great start.

Christmas Wish #7
Colleen’s granddaughter came back from a trip to Florida with a sinus infection that turned into an infection in her brain.  In the months since her diagnosis, she’s had a few different surgeries where doctors had to shave her head.  She’s been wearing a cheap wig since.  A nicer wig would be more comfortable and help her feel a lot more confident!

Christmas Wish #8
Ericka has two girls, ages 12 & 17.  They love to play Nintendo Switch games together, and she’s wishing for a couple of games.  Over the last four years, she’s faced health challenges while working to complete her Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems and her Bachelor of Applied Science in IT Networking & Cybersecurity.  She’s been looking for a job and knows that the first few paychecks will need to go to pay for new tires, so she can’t afford new games.

Christmas Wish #9
Galen is a veteran who has served our country proudly.  He bought a small condo, but his hot water heater hasn’t worked in over a year.  That means cold showers for over a year.  Both his sister and his mom wrote in and get to surprise him IN STUDIO to grant his wish.  Thanks to Full Speed Plumbing for helping make this wish come true!

Christmas Wish #10
Jan is a custodian at Horizon Middle School in Ferndale.  Over the years, she’s seen how much the students LOVE to play at the ping pong and foosball tables.  They were SO LOVED that they had to throw them away because they wore out.  She would love for them to be able to come back from Winter Break to new ping pong and foosball tables to give kids some fun activities at lunch and recess.  Special thanks to a great partner in My Garden Nursery, Scotty went to an assembly at the school and surprised EVERYONE (kids and Jan) in person…on the air!

In our efforts to grant this wish for the kids at Horizon Middle School, a business stepped up to help out!

Christmas Wish #11
Leilani wrote in for her 15-year-old daughter, Jayda, and 6-year-old son, Bryson. Their family has had a lot to deal with this year including medical issues and financial hardships. Through all of it, the kids have been strong, positive, and resilient. Jayda is very interested in being a vlogger and Bryson would love a remote-control car.

This is a Christmas Wish FIRST! After hearing this Christmas Wish on the air, a local business and another listener called in to help Leilani get some gifts for Christmas!

Christmas Wish #12
Kody & Kristin have been dealing with a leaky roof. When it rains (as it’s known to do in the Pacific Northwest), they have to place buckets in the center of their kitchen because of the leaks around the skylight. They haven’t had the means to get it fixed, so it’s something that they’ve learned to live with…BUT their mom would like to see them living leak-free.

Christmas Wish #13
We received a Christmas Wish from a Bellingham teacher about one of her students that’s facing some tough stuff right now…and the teacher wants to help!

Christmas Wish #14
Debbie works at a grocery store and is making a wish for a family that she sees regularly that can use a little help this holiday season!

Christmas Wish #15
Unbeknownst to Rona and Shauna, they BOTH made a Christmas Wish for 8-year-old, Teagan, to have a better learning experience.
