Lady Gaga caught up in lawsuit over doomed gig

Lady Gaga is at the centre of Russian TV bosses' $1.5 million lawsuit over allegations they booked a gig with a Florida firm which lacks the connections to hire the pop star.

Executives at Russian media firm ZAO claim they paid management agency NWE to hire the Bad Romance hitmaker for an upcoming June awards ceremony.

But the deal has fallen through and ZAO chiefs are now taking the matter to court, alleging NWE representatives don't have access to secure Gaga for a show.

According to the complaint, obtained by TMZ, NWE heads have refused a full refund and subtracted $300,000 (£188,000) from the sum as a broker fee.

ZAO bosses are suing for the return of the cash, and additional damages.
