UPDATE: I-5 NB reopens at Iowa Street following landslide that blocked all lanes

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – All lanes on I-5 northbound at Iowa Street (MP 254) have reopened following an apparent landslide on Sunday morning.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has announced that debris from a landslide that covered the two lanes on I-5 northbound at Iowa Street has been cleared. Crews worked on the morning of Sunday, Oct. 27 to clear around 2000 cubic yards of debris.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding via X (formally Twitter), the southbound side of I-5 was partially blocked due to the slide as well.

As of 2:55 p.m., I-5 northbound has reopened.
