BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The City of Bellingham has updated its plan for the Civic Athletic Complex.

The detailed version of the “master plan” can be found through Engage Bellingham and summarizes the long-term vision and development of the community’s central recreational complex. There are two new ideas that are being considered in the recreational complex’s update.

The city says it is trying to find ways to create more opportunities for recreation and advance climate resiliency at the new Carl Cozier Elementary School.

It is also considering the expansion of facilities for more aquatic and indoor recreation, as well as community gathering spaces within the Civic Athletic Complex.

A public open house regarding the Civic Athletic Complex will be held on Nov. 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the community building at Bloedel Donovan Park.
