Jonas Brothers star Kevin Jonas has become a father for the first time.

The singer’s wife, Danielle, gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday afternoon.

Kevin took to Twitter.com to share the first photo of Danielle holding their bundle of joy, with a caption that reads, “On this day, a little star was born. Meet Alena Rose Jonas.”

Kevin’s younger brother, Nick Jonas, also took to the microblogging site to acknowledge the happy news just days after the brothers’ grandfather passed away.

He tweeted, “My grandfather’s memorial was yesterday. Today we welcome a new addition to the jonas family. God is great. Can’t wait to meet my new niece.”

One Direction makes Billboard history

FILE - This Nov. 26, 2013 file photo shows One Direction members, from left, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan on ABC's "Good Morning America"in New York. A representative for One Direction says the band’s lawyers are dealing with a video showing two band members smoking what the singers referred to as an “illegal substance.” British tabloid The Daily Mail posted a five-minute clip Tuesday, May 27, 2014, of Zayn Malik smoking and speaking with Louis Tomlinson, who is filming.

The British boy band became the only group to score four consecutive No. 1 debuts on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart.
