Charlie Sheen: Never been ‘as high as Rob Ford’

Charlie Sheen has reached out to embattled Toronto, Canada Mayor Rob Ford via Twitter.com following reports he had called for the politician’s resignation.

Sheen was quoted in Canadian’s La Presse newspaper as saying Ford was unfit to lead the country’s largest city after he lied, and then came clean, about his past drug use.

Ford, who has held Toronto’s top job since 2010, has survived a string of controversies, but experts believe video footage of him allegedly smoking crack cocaine and threatening violence while appearing to be high will end his term in office.

Asked to comment about the scandal while filming Scary Movie 6 in the city this week, Sheen reportedly told a journalist, “I hate to pass judgement on anybody, especially given my history. But I’ve been seeing those videos on the news, and I think it’s fair to say that Rob Ford parties too much. I can honestly tell you I’ve never been that high.

“There was this one time in Vegas when I took four Victoria’s Secret models and did one gram off each of their bodies within, like, 45 minutes. I declared myself King of Vegas and decided to remodel my hotel room with my bare hands to resemble King Louis XIV’s bedroom at Versailles. Knocked down two entire walls, and later had four knuckle surgeries. Still wasn’t as high as Rob Ford.

“This guy needs help. I’m not saying he needs counseling or AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) or rehab or anything like that. Everyone gets better in different ways. But, yeah, I think he should at least resign and figure out what kind of help is right for him. It’s one thing if you’re an actor, but public servants should be held to a higher standard.”

But on Thursday, Sheen took aim at the newspaper story, insisting he was misquoted.

In a fiery tweet addressed to Ford, the actor wrote, “Dear Mayor Rob Ford, the only truth or correct reporting in today’s repulsive story regarding my alleged comments about you, is the accurate spelling of your great city.

“Your personal life is and never would be, any of my business (sic). I’m sorry for any grief this may have caused. If I can be of any assistance in any capacity in this media cesspool, please accept the noble offer of my steady hand and compassionate heart. respectfully, charlie sheen.”
