KGMI News Reporting

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A second Whatcom County resident has the measles.

The case like the other was traced to the outbreak in the Fraser Valley.

The second person lives in the same house as the first Whatcom County case.

About 230 people in the Fraser Valley contracted the measles.

They and the local case are connected to a private school tied to a religion that does not believe in vaccinations.

A separate case just reported in San Juan County is not linked to the school.
