More players are dismissed from Texas

According to ESPN.com’s Max Olson the Texas Longhorns have released three players from the team on Friday.

Olson writes, “Safety Josh Turner, running back Jalen Overstreet and defensive back Chevoski Collins have been dismissed from the program for violating team rules, multiple sources told ESPN.com.”

This comes on the heels of two Longhorn players being suspended Thursday, by Texas coach Charlie Strong, after being arrested for sexual assault.

“Texas receivers Kendall Sandersand and Montrel Meander on charges for an incident in June.” Olson says, ” Both players were suspended indefinitely by Strong, and their names already have been removed from Texas’ officials roster.”

Olson continues, “Six players have now been dismissed from the program since Strong took over. Fullback Chet Moss and defensive back Leroy Scott were kicked off the team in March for violation of team rules.”
