Forum opens up county water discussion

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – From private well restrictions to phosphorus buildup in Lake Whatcom, there are many water use problems in Whatcom County and there’s a lot of different ideas for how to fix them.

A forum tonight at the Ten Mile Grange hopes to flesh out those ideas.

Kate Blystone with Resources for Sustainable Communities is one of the speakers.

She says everyone should come to this free event.

Other speakers include representatives from the Whatcom Planning Department, Cattlemen’s Association and the Water District Coalition.

The forum runs from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Ten Mile Grange on Hannegan Road.
