Bells sweep Black Bears, win streak at 12

Gabe Cramer threw six shutout innings, Dallas Carroll drove in the go ahead run in the bottom of the 8th and the Bellingham Bells defeated the Cowlitz Black Bears, 3-1, to complete the sweep in West Coast League action Saturday at Joe Martin Field.

With the win, Bellingham (20-5) improved their winning streak to 12 games and remain in first place in the West division of the WCL.

Cramer allowed four hits, one walk and seven strikeouts in his six innings of work. Moises Ceja, Andrew Summerville, David Bigelow combined to finish the final three innings, giving up one run on one hit, one walk and two strikeouts.

The Bells return to the diamond Monday at Joe Martin Field against the Kitsap BlueJackets. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
