Bells smash Gems to get first win at home

The Bellingham Bells broke out the bats Tuesday night picking up a 12-to-3 victory over the Klamath Falls Gems. The Bells exploded for 9 runs in the 4th inning and had 14 hits overall in registering their first win at Joe Martin Field on the year.

Center fielder Nate Anderson led the way for Bellingham going 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple, 3 RBI’s and a stolen base. Shortstop Colby Woodmansee added his first home run of the season as Bellingham improved their record to 3-and-2.

Seth Martinez picked up the victory on the mound for Bellingham giving up just 2 runs and striking out 3 batters in 6 innings of work.

Bellingham and Klamath Falls square off in the series finale Wednesday night at Joe Martin Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
