Bellingham hits new rain record

KGMI News Reporting

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham hit a record for rainiest July 23 on record.

According to the National Weather Service, the Bellingham airport received .72 inches of rain.

That’s more than enough to destroy the previous July 23 rainfall record of .22 inches set in 1949.

It probably won’t rain quite as much today, but it will still be wet.

Things turn around Friday, and highs are forecast to creep back up into the upper 70’s on Saturday and Sunday.
