A real estate blog called Estately just ranked the U.S. states by how scary they are.
They based it on natural disasters like hurricanes and tornadoes, the number of snakes, spiders, and sharks, deaths caused by lightning, the number of clowns and dentists (?), and the murder rate.
The scariest state? No surprise. Well done, Florida, you topped the list.
The top 10 scariest states are: Florida, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, North Carolina, California, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Virginia.
Washington ranks 28th. Our scariest features are volcanos, heights, dentists and bears.
South Dakota is the least scary state in the country.
