The Whatcom Museum’s popular History Sunset Cruise sails into its 32nd year. Guests travel aboard the 110-foot Puget Sound tour boat Island Caper, which leaves from Squalicum Harbor near downtown Bellingham, and take a tour of Bellingham Bay. Local historian Brian Griffin is the tour guide. Guests can bring their picnic dinners. Beer and wine available for purchase on the boat. July 9, 16, 23, 30, Aug. 6, 13, 20, 27; 5:30-8:30pm

July 17th-18th plan to ‘razz it up’ as Lynden hosts the Northwest Raspberry Festival, filled with delicious family-friendly fun! Enjoy fresh raspberry sundaes on locally-produced ice cream, listen to live music, and shop downtown Lynden. The Festival features lots of kids activities including inflatable games, face painting, a Rookies 3-on-3 basketball tournament, and Very Berry Storytime at the Lynden Library. Other Festival events include the Annual Curt Maberry Memorial Classic 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and the Raspberry pancake breakfast at the Lynden Community Center, followed by a 5K fun run/walk, Razz & Shine car show, and wine tasting at Samson Estates located on a working raspberry farm.

The Lynden Music Festival and The Lynden Performing Arts Guild present the 2nd Annual Lyden’s Got Talent, a solo/group voice competition at this year’s Raspberry Festival in beautiful downtown Lynden on July 18, 2015. Auditions will take place on the outdoor stage (from 11am-3pm) in front of a panel of local judges as well as the festival attendees and are limited to participants 22 years and younger. Ten artists will be chosen to perform in the finals, Saturday evening at The Claire vg Thomas Theatre, where the audience will participate in selecting the winners!

The 7th annual Bite of Skagit is Saturday, July 25th at Waterfront Park at Swinomish Casino in Anacortes. Delicious food, live music, a beer garden, and lots of fun activities for the whole family! The Bite of Skagit is an annual fundraiser, sponsored, organized, and hosted by North Coast Credit Union, for the benefit of the Skagit Food Distribution Center – linking farms to food banks. Last year the money raised during The Bite was used to purchase over 300,000 pounds of produce for the Skagit Food Distribution Center!
