On December 18th from 4-6:30pm attend a party and book signing for release of “Lila and the Dandelion”, a children’s picture book written by local author, Sheryl Hershey, and illustrated by local artist, Michael James Marshall.
Lila is a happy little girl who listens with her heart and speaks with her hands. Lila is deaf, but that doesn’t stop her from helping a sad little dandelion who just wants to be a flower. Lila teaches Dandelion why the world is a better place just because he’s in it. This is a wonderful book for young children, teaching them that they don’t have to be perfect to be important in this world.
