Allied Arts Holiday Festival of the Arts

Make your shopping matter this holiday season at the Allied Arts Holiday Festival of the Arts! For over 40 years, they’ve connected the community with local artists and makers.
The Allied Arts Holiday Festival of the Arts is open every day from November 21st through December 24th from 10am-6pm … EXCEPT THANKSGIVING DAY! NOTE: They’ll close at 3pm on December 24th. It’s located at 1225 E. Sunset Drive in Bellingham! (The old Rite-Aid space in Sunset Square, near Safeway)
This year’s market features 130 local artists with everything from hand-crafted jewelry, original paintings, ceramics, quilts, gourmet foods, clothing, and more.
Your purchases directly supports the artists that call our community home!
In addition to the shopping, there’s LIVE music from local musicians, artist demos, kids’ art & activities.
2025 Night Market and Luminary Walk

The Blaine Harbor Music Festival hosts the 2025 Night Market & Luminary Walk on Friday, November 28th and Saturday, November 29th from 4:00pm-9:30pm at the Blaine Public Library
Gather with friends, neighbors, and loved ones for two evenings full of holiday cheer! In the middle of a busy season, this is a chance to slow down, breathe, and celebrate what makes Blaine so special.
Wander through twinkling lights and the scent of fresh pine. You’ll find fresh-cut Christmas trees (ready to take home), a Yule Garden with mulled wine & beer, crackling fires and s’mores under the winter sky, handmade treasures from local artisans and food vendors, cookie making & crafts, and LIVE holiday music from local musicians.
At the end of the evening, there’s a glowing Luminary Walk, lighting the way with warmth and wonder.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-17, FREE for kids 5 and under.
This event supports the Blaine Harbor Music Festival!

37th Annual Festival of Trees

The Skagit Regional Health Foundation invites you to celebrate the holiday spirit over Thanksgiving weekend at the 37th Annual Festival of Family Trees at St. Joseph Center in Mount Vernon!
Explore the incredible display of 25 ornately decorated Christmas trees that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. There will also be LIVE, local musicians performing while you view the trees. You can also vote for your favorite Gingerbread Houses during the Gingerbread House contest, too!
Admission is $5.
Bellingham Riding Club Holiday Craft Show

The Ferndale Downtown Association and Whatcom County Fire District 7 will light up the Community Christmas Tree on Friday, December 5th from 6pm-8pm in Downtown Ferndale at the Riverwalk!
Kick off the holiday season with Christmas carols, hot cocoa, cookies, and a visit from Santa! Then, marvel at the towering 30-foot tree and crystal star as they come alive with lights!
After the lighting ceremony, stroll down the riverwalk to Pioneer Park for the Heritage Society’s Olde-Fashioned Christmas in the Park for more fun with the family!
Blaine Community Theatre – “Christmas in Oz”

The Blaine Community Theatre is back for Christmas time in Kansas with their production of “Christmas in Oz.” Showing between December 5th-14th at Blaine High School’s Black Box Theatre!
Dorothy feels sad without her friends from Oz at Christmastime. With help from the clever Mr. Tinker, she builds the Gidgety Gadgety Whiz Bang Wish Machine and in a flash of gears and glitter…finds herself back in Oz. Reunited with her friends, they plan the biggest Christmas party the Emerald City has ever seen…with one problem – they promised Santa would be there.
Follow their adventures as they plan the party and have to deal with the new witch, Nefariosa, who is trying to ruin Christmas for everyone.

You’ll see them perform over 20 well-known hits from the Irving Berlin catalog in this holiday spectacular!

This is a fundraiser for the Blaine Middle School PTO.

Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt

Downtown Lynden presents their Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, December 6th all throughout downtown Lynden from 11am-5pm.
You can pick up a FREE clue card at Elf HQ – the corner of Front St. and 5th St. Then, find all the elves hiding in businesses throughout downtown Lynden to be entered to win one of three baskets filled with downtown business gift cards and treats. Each basket is worth $300!
The hunt is from 11am-5pm, with the winners drawn at 6pm.

The Bellingham Yacht Club presents its Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, December 6th at 5:30pm.
You can view the boats as they show off lighted displays and play holiday music. This year’s theme is “Christmas Vacation.”
The best viewing spots are Boulevard Park and the Fairhaven Cruise Terminal.
If you have a boat and would like to participate, it’s OPEN TO EVERYBODY, no membership required. However, you do need to preregister HERE.
This event is weather permitting.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church hosts their 3rd Annaul FREE Community Concert, “Celebrate the Season: An Evening of Holiday Music” on Sunday, December 7th at 6:30pm in historic Fairhaven!
This FREE, one-hour concert gives families a chance to enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with performances from local groups like the Bellingham High School Showstoppers, the Vox Pacifica women’s choir, and a dramatic reading of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
Holiday cider and cookies will follow the program in the community room.
