Hearts Towards Home Oscars 2010

Get ready to celebrate the year in movies at Hearts Toward Home's Gala Event of the year March 7 at 4:30pm! Watch the Oscars broadcast LIVE on a HUGE screen at the Silver Reef Pavilion, while enjoying appetizers, gourmet buffet, silent auction featuring a 5-day Carnival Cruise for 2, souvenir photo booth, gift bags, prizes and more! Tickets are $49 for a single, $79 for a couple and 100% of the proceeds benefit Hearts Toward Home, a non-profit agency that works with Veterans returning home. This is theatre for the little ones at the Bellingham Children’s Theatre! For 6 & 7 yr-olds this fun event will bring stories to life, kids will engage in creative play, ride upon the magic carpets of their imaginations, play wacky theatre games, and learn basic theatre skills. Camelot

The Knights of the Round Table descend upon the Mount Baker Theatre in Lerner & Loewe’s timeless masterpiece, Camelot today (Thursday), March 4. This delightful tale is sure to delight audiences with its soaring melodies, magnificent costumes and an enduring love story set among the historic grandeur of medieval England. Dr. Seuss Storytime

Celebrate Dr.Suess' Birthday with a delightful storytime--complete with a visit from the Cat in the Hat!  The event is at the Lynden Public Library at 10:30 and is free.   Appropriate for kids ages 3-5.



Saturday, March 6

Dollars for Scholars presents….Pasta Pizzazz and Oliver!

Come enjoy a gourmet pasta dinner featuring pasta, salad garlic bread and dessert…all prepared by master chef Paul Ingram at Ferndale High School from 5:15-6:30pm in the cafeteria and then check out the play Oliver in the high school auditorium. Dinner is $10 donation per person, Oliver is $10 adults, $7 for students



Scooby Doo Party

Celebrate all your favorite Scooby Doo characters with games, crafts, and Scooby Snacks!  Rooby Rooby Roo with Tammy LaPlante at the Ferndale Public Library, the event is free.  For kids of all ages. 


Kids' Dog Show

Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department's 28th annual Kids' Dog Show gives kids in kindergarten through grade 5 an opportunity to enter their dog in up to three categories.  Registration deadline has passed but spectators are welcome!  The event is at the Bloedel Donovan Multipurpose Room, check in is at 10:00.  Admission is one can of dog food.  For more information call 778-7000.

South Pacific

Bellingham High School performing arts presents Rodger's and Hammerstein's "SOUTH PACIFIC." The show is being performed in the BHS Theatre March 4, 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m.,and closes on Sunday, March 7th at 2:00. All tickets are $8.00 and are currently available for pre-sale at Village Books and at the school.
